I am running this blog for 4 months now and I felt that its good time to do a progress check like where we are heading and what should be done to make things better. So here is a small survey for the blog readers. I will really appreciate if you take 5 minutes and Answer the following questions in Comments. And in return, I will make all the links in author boxes as dofollow of this Post.
1. How many Posts should I make Daily ? 1 or 2 or 3 ?
2. Is the size of the posts I make, alright ? should they be longer/shorter ?
3. Should I cover SEO only or other webmaster topics daily ? Do you want me to cover various webmaster related news too ?
4. How is my writing ? you think I should spend some more time in proofreading ? How can I improve quality of posts.
5. How is the design of the blog ? What should be done to improve it ?
6. What else do you want in this blog ? How can it be improved further ?
Hope to see good turnout from the blog readers.
I won’t be able to approve adult/gambling/affiliate links as well as comments which are made just for the links.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t found any wordpress plugin which makes all comments of a post dofollow or which allows comments to be dofollow on case by case, the closest plugin was this one which do exactly opposite of what I was looking for. So I am putting all the author names with links here in this post itself. I will keep on updating this Post as I get more comments.
Thanks for the Comments so far guys -
Eric - Thanks Eric
webmastering blogger - I feels i will be better of by not having any contact form. I do read all the comments before approving them so if anyone wants to contact me, you can drop a message in contact form. I just feels its good to communicate via blog so others can also read the information. So if anyone needs to contact me, just drop a comment.
Text Ad Exchange - Thanks for the comment. My biggest problem while writing blog posts is that most of the posts are written in parts which often breaks the continuity hence I loses the flow. Not reading final posts before hitting publish and not using wordpress spellchecker also don’t help the overall situation. I am a new junkie with 50,000+ posts in various webmaster and tech forums in 3+ years and too much use of net lingo hasn’t helped me much either. Though I did realized that this as well as the previous post has some really basic mistakes and the ending para is not making any sense! so I will make sure from now on, I do read the posts before publishing.
Barry Wheeler - Marketing, Business, Technology News - Thanks Berry
George - Thanks George for the comment, I see you are an active reader of the blog. I had got a custom theme done for my blog but it didn’t turned out that well hence I am using this free theme. In future, I will surely use a better custom theme. I am not doing it right now as first i want to focus on content. So you think making comments dofollow will help the blog getting more comments ? well I can do this on experiment basis. I anyway moderate all the comments and don’t approve one line comments, so fine, lets see for a month what happens if I make comments as dofollow ![]()
harish - Thanks harish
Atniz - Thanks Atniz
Rajesh Mago - Thanks Rajesh for the comment and for using proper formatting. I did realized the mistakes in the previous post SEO for Yahoo and I have fixed it. That post was written in 3 days in parts and hence I lost the flow. Most of the things that I share here are indeed my experiences and learnings working on various projects and I will keep on doing that.
Typhoon
Borderlands
Final Conclusions - Thanks to everyone who has commented here. I will keep on writing on SEO and occasionally try to put other content too related to webmasters as well as fun stuff. Since most of the people are saying design is fine, so I won’t make any changes in it. No need to make any more comments
Cheers

1. It only depends how many things you have to say. It is perfectly okay if you do few posts per month, but it is also okay if you do 10 posts per day if they are quality posts. The quantity of content doesn’t make a website/blog better, if it is poor content.
2. Length of the posts? There is no rule. When you’re done with what you wanted to say, stop. Only really interesting and complex stories should be longer than 500 words, most of the people don’t read the whole text, they only scan it to find part that actually interests them.
3. My opinion is that it would be best to stick to SEO and only periodically go off topic (off seo but still related to webmastering) when you have the feeling you have something really attractive.
4. Your writing doesn’t need any improvement.
5. Design is attractive, simple and plain, exactly what I like. But, this is subjective opinion.
6. There is no contact form. It is a MUST on every website. “thank you for contacting”, “lists” and “list of all posts” are all linking to pages with identical content - list of all posts.General: Great blog, I have bookmarked few posts for later detailed reading. Good luck!

. How many Posts should I make Daily ?
I’d say you would be doing well to make one post a day. More can be better though if it isn’t spam. 2-3 a day could be even better.
2. Does the size of the posts I make, alright ? should they be longer/shorter ?
You should be asking “Is the size of the posts that I make alright?” that would be proper english. You don’t want to make a blog post too short or too long as it will turn off readers. I would recommend not going any shorter than this particular blog post. Possibly a bit longer on average. Maybe 2-3x
3. Should I cover SEO only or other webmaster topics daily ? Do you want me to cover various webmaster related news too ?
This is your option here. You could either cover both topics on this blog. Or if you want to do the extra work, make sister blogs for other topics. Personally I feel it depends on how much work you are wanting to do and how creative you can be
4. How is my writing ? you think I should spend some more time in proofreading ? How can I improve quality of posts.
Your spelling seems to be good. I notice though that your use of english is not the best. But it is better than a lot of others on the internet. For example, besides the suggestion that I gave you on your english above, look at #4. It should say “How can I improve THE quality of posts”
5. How is the design of the blog ? What should be done to improve it ?
The design of your blog appears to be pretty good overall. You have a nice logo and it does not appear to be very spammy. Perhaps you might want to add an ad block or a banner or 2, to help monetize your blog or cross promote.
It seems like you are on the right track to making a good blog. Asking for feedback is a good thing.
6. What else do you want in this blog ? How can it be improved further ? See above, i feel that this is basically a repeat of question 5.
I would appreciate my dofollow link to be titled Text Ad Exchange. please have it link to servead.com

To improve your organic search engine rankings, it is better to post less more frequently, however you should have the readers always in mind and not always the search engine, so it may be better to write one really well thought out post per week rather than 7 crummy posts.
I think you should get a custom design to stand out from the many other SEO blogs, although you do have it setup fairly well.

First I think that one blog post per day is good, however it depends on whats going on that day. If something else relevant happens why wait and blog tomorrow, add another post if need be.
The blog posts are of proper size, as long as you get in everything relevant it doesn’t matter if its two paragraphs or ten. I enjoy SEO topics but peppering in webmaster topics you feel are important others will also find important or interesting. It is your site and your blog.
My writing and proofreading are not up to par but it looks professional to reread before posting. Luckily I can go back and edit my posts however sometimes its 5 days later and everyone has already read my mistakes. Imagery going with posts or video I always like. It changes things up. The blog is insightful and well put together. I am having unique blog designs redo my blog and I like the options you have chosen from them for yours.

I think that you should make at least 1 post per day and make your posts just a tad bit longer. Personally, I would like to see more topics related to solid SEO relate material, with the occassional post about webmaster issues.
Including a few more examples would go a long way at improving your blog posts, and include maybe some diagrams in your writing.
Great information.

1. How many Posts should I make Daily ? 1 or 2 or 3 ?
One will suffice. Well thoughts and researched posts are of more importance.
2. Does the size of the posts I make, alright ? should they be longer/shorter ?
Current lengths are OK.
3. Should I cover SEO only or other webmaster topics daily ? Do you want me to cover various webmaster related news too ?
I read this blog daily for the SEO topics. In my experience SEO and Usability Issues go well together.
4. How is my writing ? you think I should spend some more time in proofreading ? How can I improve quality of posts.
I don’t speak English natively and see a spelling error every now and then. Don’t worry about it. Your html code of the site isn’t valid xhtml however (44 warnings on this page)
5. How is the design of the blog ? What should be done to improve it ?
Content matters more than design for me.. Current design works out fine.
6. What else do you want in this blog ? How can it be improved further ?
dofollow on all posts will get you more feedback..

4. I’m not native speaker. It doesn’t matter for me. As long as i get your point
5. Like george said, content is more important

Dropped from DP. I suggest 1 post a day will be good. Your template is good. If you could make your blog to dofollow, then you can submit it to all dofollow directories and listings. This will bring you constant and good traffic. After I changed my blog to dofollow, my rss increased also the traffic from below 500k to 100k+ in Alexa also page rank increased from 2 to 3.

Hi Pushkar,
My replies:
1. How many Posts should I make Daily ? 1 or 2 or 3 ?
1 post per day or even 2 or 3 days is fine if it is really useful and covers the vital details relevant to the topic as I see you are doing now.
2. Does the size of the posts I make, alright ? should they be longer/shorter ?
The present size of the posts is okay. BTW - It also depends on the complexity of the topic and your decision to explain in one post or multiple posts. I love reading long posts that are written well and do justice to the topic; it helps me to confirm that I know everything/learn something new in one shot.
3. Should I cover SEO only or other webmaster topics daily ? Do you want me to cover various webmaster related news too ?
Your blog target and expertise is on SEO, so you should cover SEO mostly. BTW - I don’t mind reading anything useful that brings more traffic to a site/blog.
4. How is my writing ? you think I should spend some more time in proofreading ? How can I improve quality of posts.
Your writing is okay and makes sense to me. I subscribed some one-month back and have read all your posts in this period. Once, I couldn’t get the meaning of the initial part of the sentence and it’s given below:
http://nbridges.com/blog/seo-for-yahoo/
I don’t this pretty much summarizes Search Engine Optimization tips for yahoo, If you know something or don’t agree with what I have stated here, please post your comments and views in comment box below.
(The initial few words of this sentence are not clear to me. It happens and it’s not much serious, I pointed it out as you requested the same. I also do the same mistake when I am tired and the post is somewhat lengthy).
I love real life case studies and tips and would be thankful if you cover some of them here.
5. How is the design of the blog ? What should be done to improve it ?
The design of the blog is good but according to me the search and RSS box should be shifted down as it’s obstructing the top header.
Also, the Top Commentators and Archives should appear at the right side and not at the bottom.
There should be a blank white box in the “Type your search here” instead of it being completely black.
6. What else do you want in this blog ? How can it be improved further ?
Posts with useful tips in alignment to this blog that you gained while working on your client’s projects. No, I am not asking you to reveal your top SEO or webmaster’s secrets
I welcome your decision of taking feedback from subscribers for your blog improvement. It’s not for everyone, particularly those who can’t take criticism positively.
This exercise reminded me that my blog is also missing a lot of things and it’s time to work on them.
Thanks and all the best!

Some way to ask questions and/or suggest future topics. At the moment I’m wondering if search engines actively check mail configs of domains and will influence SERPS if a domain doesn’t have a working mail config. Also I’m wondering if search engines evaluate DNS configs of domains for robustness (redundancy), speed, TTL and such. Maybe you could shed some light on these questions in future topics.

You asked that how many posts you should make daily..But according to me you should make a post in 2 days not daily.
But still according to your question I would say 1.Answering second question, I would say that you should think it yourself that have you added all the quality info. When I looked your articles on other pages I think you have written in proper lenght with all the info as the topic.
I think you should cover webmaster news also to make readers aware of new happenings

Your writing style currently needs no improvement; it’s fine as of now.I think you should get a new theme..I have seen this theme at lots of places. If you have got money then you can have a look here:
http://themeforest.net/
They offer premium wordpress themes and more at just $10-$30I need Contest coming up as new thing in this blog.
Hope it may solve all your questions..

Thanks typhoon for the comments, money is not a problem, its just that I feels I should change the theme once I get more functionality into the blog as changing theme every month is not possible. It takes some brainstorming and time too.

Great blog, here’s my answers.
1. I prefer one post with more useful info than 3 posts with the useful info dispersed. It’s quicker for me to read that way.
2. The size really doesn’t matter to me as long as I find what I’m reading helpful. I’ll like a 50 word or 500 word post if they tell me something useful.
3. Any tips too improve traffic, even non-SEO ones, are always welcome.
4. There are typos sometimes but I don’t think it’s a big deal.
5. Design looks good to me.
6. Keep up the good work. More how-tos would be welcome.
