How to Get More Traffic from squidoo

I have covered squidoo and how you can use it to generate more traffic many times in the past. Some of the posts which you may like to check for reference are - Best way to use ezine, squidoo, hubpages to get links, Traffic and Leads, How to get Traffic and Backlinks from Squidoo - Advanced and How to use Squidoo to get Traffic and Backlinks - Beginners Guide.

Now I am again covering squidoo to share more ideas, tips and tricks on how you can use Squidoo to generate lot of traffic.

1. Write Original Content - well, its a must since you will anyway never get any kind of ranking with copied content. Its not that difficult to write your own content actually in squidoo, just spend 5 minutes and write few lines of original content. I have personally noticed that writing original content and editing existing article to make it look unique takes same time, so its better to write original content.

2- Try to edit existing content, add more Content - I know its difficult thing to do but you can try to add more content in existing lenses. Fresh content and lenses which are recently edited, gets rank boost immediately.

3. Use more Modules - Squidoo ranks those lenses better which uses multiple modules, so use other modules too (other then text once). I love using blackbox and quote modules, you too can use them. Do try to use RSS feed module and youtube module too. I have seen people extensively using youtube module to increase the view count of their youtube videos, which also help in ranking their youtube videos in serps.

4. Use Tags - The more tags you will use, the better your lens will get exposure. At max, squidoo allows to use 40 tags, so you may go ahead and use all of them (don’t spam!). You can copy tags from other related lenses which you think are doing well too.

5- Participate - You can promote your lens within squdoo by signing comments and in squidoo forum. I personally have never tried this but still, if you have free time, you can give it a shot.

6. Get Ratings - Rate others lenses and also try to get few ratings for your lens too. A squidoo lens with ratings often do well in squidoo internally.

7- Join Groups - You can also Include your lens in Squidoo groups. I personally have not tried it but it should help your lens getting more traffic.

8. Become a Power user - Learn to use Squidutils to get more out of squidoo.

Hope these tips help people to get more out of squidoo.

    @Jenn - I had heard of youbundle before but just checked it fully right now, it does look like exact copy of squidoo and hubpages though to be fair to them, they all are copy of ezine articles and wikipedia :)

    It will be interesting to see how youbundle protect themselves from “marketers”, right now it don’t look to be that big though to attract marketers and link builders

    @Pushkar

    I was looking though some of the youbundle bundles and it seems like the ones that look like they are useful content with thought behind them are followed and the ones that look like quick and crap seo jobs are no followed
    not sure if they have an algorithm or do it manually?

    on a good note -i do see some that are obviously done by seo marketers, but are done up well with supporting links and nice thumbnails. some of these seem to get followed.
