Keyword Discovery is better than WordTracker

Sometime back I had made a list of Keyword Research Tools where I had put Google Adwords, Keyword Discovery and Wordtracker at same position. Now anyway who has used all three will easily put google adwords tool way better then any of the other keyword tools available in the market but what about the second best ?

I was just doing some test on both Keyword Discovery vs wordtracker to see which one indeed gives better and accurate results. Now the sample space being a small set of keywords and me using free versions of KD and WT, there may be some discrepancies but I think I can safely say that as far as free version is concerned, keyword discovery is far better than WordTracker. The number of occurrences of keywords were far higher than as compared to wordtracker and the results were more in align with Google adwords tool.

Here is the partial list of keywords along with google adwords tool results, As you can see, adwords tool will always show more results but for long tail keywords, wordtracker was always giving 0 (no matches found) where as keyword discovery was atleast showing single digit numbers. If we see the

Its hard for me to give the url’s and other data (I had also tested resulting traffic along with Google ranks) but I am fairly convinced that keyword discovery do give more results for long tail keywords as far as free version is concerned.
