List of SEO Forums
- 1 Comment tags
a Long Long time back (4.5 years back, Aaron Wall had put a very nice list of SEO Forums) which I think is a very good resource but is very outdated (searchguild?) as many forums don’t exist anymore.
So I thought may be I should put my own new List of SEO Forums. Do note that webmaster forums or designer forums do not mean SEO forums, but since most of such forums do put a SEO subforum, I am including them too (there are only 2 or 3 pure SEO forums on the web anyway).
So ladies and gentleman, here is the 2008 List of Big and Best SEO forums -
1. Webmasterworld - WMW has probably the highest signal to noise ratio and with there no nonsense, no ads, no promotion approach, the site is a must for anyone who is looking for expert advice. I think the median knowledge of any WMW member also seems to be high than other forums.
2. Sitepoint - Sitepoint has been there since a long time and though not much related to SEO, you can still find knowledgeable people hanging out.
3. DigitalPoint Forums - The credit for me being on internet pretty much goes to DP. The record of fastest replies (less than in a minutes) also associated with it. It is the biggest webmaster forum of the planet and probably has outgrown itself. Anyway you can still find good stuff here. Make sure you do search as it has some great thread underlying.
4. SEO Chat Forums - SEO chat has a pretty big Google search engine subforum (27k+ threads) with some good info.
5. V7n Forums - I haven’t visited V7n much but from whatever I know, they look to have good helping community with some members having good SEO Knowledge.
6. Search Engine Watch Forum - I have not visited it much but it looks good mostly focusing on search engines.
7. Web Pro World has some good SEO threads. Infact there SEO subforum is bigger than all other sub forums.
8. Ozzu - Not a fully SEO forum (they have way too many things there to be honest) but I have seen some good thread there so you too can find something interesting.
Other SEO Forums (sorted by alexa rank since I don’t have anything better metric to sort them)
* Search Engine Forums
* SEO Forum - Somehow they still haven’t push the forum yet ?
* SEO Guy
* SEO Round table - NOt a huge SEO forum but felt to put it
Black Hat SEO Forums
Well I haven’t visited any SEO Black hat forum religiously since syndic8 in 2006 but still few names pops up in mind are -
* SEO Black Hat Forums
* Syndik8 - Looks like they are still there…
* Black Hat World
I think this pretty much summarizes the list. I really don’t want want to make it a “101 SEO forums” list when you only need 2-3 forums. I think WMW, DP and SP should be enough for anyone with occasional peek into other forums.
Cheers and Have a Nice Day

Thanks for the list. A few of the forums I was aware about but others I was not. Looks like I will be doing some forum registrations tonight.
