Should you write for Search Engines or for Readers ?
This question of “Should you write for Search Engines or For Reader” is often asked by people in webmaster forums. The reason why this is asked so often is, people see black hatters (note the two T’s) making tons of money using spam sites built only for search engines as well see sites/blogs with high quality content and with feed subscribers of 10k+, again making lot of money.

Should you Use Extensions in URLs ?
I personally have not seen difference in using extensions or not using extensions having any kind of good/bad seo effect on any site but here are some of the pointers which may help you to decide whether using extensions like .html, .htm, .php makes a difference or not for the site rankings.
Personally I like to go with extensionless url structure because I uses Drupal CMS which gives me the ability to do it. Here are few more reasons which goes in favor of why you should use extensionless url’s
How to Stop Google Caching your pages in its index ?
Google cache is a great source to know when that page was last indexed by google as well as it may have some other usage but it can cause problems in 2 Cases -
1. If you have a subscription/membership based website where you want your uses to pay to see the content but want Google to index the pages, then people can check the google cache to read the content for free.
2. Its is very easy to find footprints of any site using google cache.
Get Traffic from scribd.com
Well in case you are living under the cave (cliche?) you must have heard of http://www.scribd.com/ which is an online document like doc, ppt and pdf publishing website.
It ranks very well in google for its content and not only that, it has good userbase too which searches its content. So suppose, if you are having an auto parts website, than you can put a doc/pdf/ppt into scribd.com and link to your website. If you have put a good title and description for your doc on scribd, search engine should send some traffic to it. Lot of people searches for filetype:doc command in search engine which can give you very pure and directed traffic from scribd. Here are few more pointers -
Case Study - Wiki Answers and SEO
After My First SEO Case study of Mahalo, I am covering Wiki Answers as the second case.
http://wiki.answers.com/ is the second biggest wiki on web after wikipedia and though the amount of spam and useless content being very high, it still rank very well in Google. The reason is, unlike wikipedia, it targets long tail keywords. Infact Wiki Answers is more like yahoo answers rather than wikipedia with others being able to edit your questions and answers.
4 Reasons Why Article Marketing isn’t working for you ?
Are you one of those, who have after seeing amazing results of others, have tried article marketing and have failed badly! Than this Post is for you guys
There are many people, mostly experienced marketers who have got great results from Article marketing, making as much as $10k/year from a single article thanks to ezinearticles (as reported on WarriorForum by one member). Now Why it is that someone is making so much money and the rest barely getting any traffic ?
Give minimum 3 Months for every SEO Campaign
This I am writing from my personal experience - while running any kind of SEO campaign, you should give yourself atleast 3 months for the results to get shown as trying to track results from the very first month is fine and good for tuning, I dont think you can make any kind of judgmental calls from such results about the success of Campaign.
Why SEO (long term) > PPC (short Term)
This is a long Post but I will appreciate if you spend 10 minutes reading it and comment on what you think.
Yesterday I was looking to explore yahoo PPC marketing and was setting my campaign to promote nBridges Media and My SEO Services. And to my surprise Yahoo was predicting only 5 clicks/day for a budget of $100 for my SEO related keywords. Now I know that SEO is a highly completive keyword and I was geotargeting US/Canada market only but still this is ridiculous. I could have spent 20 more minutes to come up with better keywords, which I eventually did, to reduce the price per click to $2 but still, this is not cheap by any means considering the kind of “product” people like me are selling.
List of Keyword Research Tools
This list has to be one of the most biggest and comprehensive list of Keyword Research Tools. I felt it is Important to make an Ultimate Authority List of Keyword Research Tools so people can find everything at one place (I myself was tired of looking at my bookmarks over and over again). I will make sure this list keeps on getting updated regularly. If you know any more keyword research tool which should be in the list, please put it as comment and I will add it here.
