More about Keyword Research Tools
Keyword Tracker (http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/)
Google Adwords (http://adwords.google.com/)– Use this tool with any of the other tool to get the list of keywords which will give maximum ROI.
www.wordze.com (http://www.wordze.com/)
If you are building a website for adsense, you want a keyword which has –
1. Which pays well (don’t target too high paying keywords as there is too much competition for them)
2. Good search volume (don’t target too big keywords)
2. Have Less competitors
If you are build a keyword list for adwords campaign, you need keywords which have
1. Less Advertiser competition
2. Good Search volume
Honest Tip – The chances are the word that you are trying to target has already been searched, targeted used(abused) by many others. The problem with these tools is that they ONLY cover 1% of the searches made and Only give estimated guesses. If you are really looking for niches, than these tools can help you but I haven’t seen any perfect keyword research tool.
I will highly advice you to NOT use the free tools but look for paid keyword tool which gives a lot better and deep results. I have used www.wordze.com 3 times (1 day costs $8) and it looked alright. I think its worth enough to spend $8 and to give someone $15 to make a list of 500 phrases. I haven’t used paid versions of wordtracker or keyword discovery but they too look alright.
Anyway this is a link and traffic building book so I won’t go into the depths of keyword research.
Competition Research
www.seodigger.com is a good site to start with again. Put your competitors site and find for what word they are ranking very high.
Tip1 – Start using www.dmoz.org and yahoo directory for searching competitors. It’s a great way to find who are are at the top and what kind of sites are in your domain.
Tip2 – Not really a tip but just want to put this as a reminder, DO spend some time on Google to see how your competitors are ranking?
